No No No
So in my last blog, I apparently spoke too soon! Since my last post, Braxton has magically learned the word "NO". Fortunately, he has yet to use it against me when I ask him to do something, but I am very sure that day is right around the corner. Today went about like this - I say "Chance, no, don't eat that!". Braxton then "no no no". Braxton again throws food on the floor for Chance to eat, so this time I say, "Braxton, no, don't throw that!". Braxton replies, "no no no". While saying this, he also shakes his finger up and down at me. Ugh! Regardless, though, no one ever stopped throwing food on the floor, nor did anyone stop eating it once it hit the ground. And we wonder why the dog is overweight!!
Attached are some pictures of Braxton in his highchair after our No No incident. This was after breakfast, and the start of the "mommy and baby Saturday". After several crazy weekends, I was so excited just to stay home with Braxton and just be. Jon is out of town this weekend, so we had the entire day just to hang out. We stayed in our jammies until after lunch. We read lots of books. We went to the park, where we went on the swings, down the slide, blew on the tops of dandelions, and rolled down the hill. We ended the day by going out to supper with grandma/grandpa Perkins and uncle Timmy. And now, he is in bed, and I am enjoying a little Mom time. What a wonderful day! Though there were a million other things that I "should" be doing, it meant a lot to simply spend the day with my baby, who is showing me every day that the baby days are quickly coming to an end.
