The Hat-ed Wonder
Again, we are back to the hat. This time, though, it is not just one hat, but 3! We spent some time this evening putting the three hats that sit in Braxton's room on Braxton's head, then off Braxton's head, then on Mom's head, then off Mom's head, and so on. Along with the hats, we found two pairs of mittens. Same thing with them. He did a similar thing this weekend. I decided he was too goofy looking not to take a picture of. Fortunately, there was no one around to think the same of me ;).
Now, enough of the funny stuff - I figured it's been a while since I've given a general update on what Braxton has been up to. He is about 20 months now. So, at times, I think we have officially hit the "terrible twos". We spend a lot of time saying, "Braxton, do you need a time out?". Usually that is all it takes to bring him around, but sometimes we have to actually follow through on our "threat". For the most part, though, he is a very good boy. He is learning to listen very well. He understands almost anything you say to him. And he is really getting to be able to make his needs known, which is very helpful for everyone. I tried to count his words the other day, but lost track at about 50. He is now starting to put two words together. A common example - "Mommy, NO!" :). He is also learning a lot of other things. He is working very hard on his fine motor skills - drawing, eating, sorting, etc. Oh, and dancing! I'm not sure if it a fine motor skill, but if you've ever seen his Dad try to cut a rug, you'll know that it is something that he'll have to work hard at to conquer the generational gap :).
