My Broder Kyler
Kyler is coming on his 4 week mark. It is amazing how quickly the time has gone! He is growing like a weed - 10 pounds 5 ounces at his check up last week!! You can tell, too. Everything is starting to get just a bit fatter (which makes him even cuter :). We have been lucky - he continues to be VERY good to us. He is only up once at night. He eats like a champ. And cries only if he REALLY has to (or is stuck in his car seat too long). I guess Jon and I figured maybe it's God's way of saying that we've paid our dues, being that we survived a rather temperamental first baby (we still love you, Braxton :).
And Braxton continues to be a very proud big brother. His first question when he wakes up - "Where's my Kyler? Let's wake Kyler up!". If Kyler is crying in the car - "We're almost home Kyler. Almost home." If he fusses at home - "Mom, Kyler's hungry." If someone he doesn't know is holding Kyler - "Mom, what's that guy doing?" - as he goes to stand guard right next to his brother. At bed time - "Give Kyler a hug and kiss, too" - followed by about 15 kisses, including the head, both arms, and sometimes the legs, too. And a hug that will occasionally elicit a "ugh" out of the baby :). If this keeps up, Kyler won't have a care in the world. He'll just have to look to his big brother to step in!
