Bath Time
Saturday night, we had a bunch of family up to grill out. It was great having everyone up, but the dirty little munchkins needed a good scrub none the less. So, in the tub they went. Though everyone saw a few more butt cheeks than they were probably hoping for that night, we got the job done :).
The boys had a great time having everyone up. And we had a great time bragging about the kids (hey, it was family - they don't get tired of that, right ;). We talked about how great Braxton is doing in his big boy underwear - "I wear big boy underwear because I am a big boy. I only wear diapers at night time." Accidents are pretty few and far between. Though he did have an accident during nap time at daycare last week. When I asked him why he peed his underwear, he looks at me very seriously and says "I didn't pee my underwear. My underwear peed itself." "Oh, really" I say. "Yeah! Silly underwear..." and he runs away. What are you supposed to say to that?
And Kyler was busy loving up to everyone. He absolutely loves to hug and put his head on your shoulder. Though it doesn't last more than a few seconds, it is worth it! Too bad he didn't get to show off his new tricks that night. On Sunday, he's learned to pull himself to standing, and just today gave his first wave "bye bye".
Both boys were in for their checkups on Friday (3 years and 9 months, respectively). Both are looking great. Braxton remains in the 90+ percentile for both height and weight (39 pounds). Kyler is also in the 90+ for height, but is a bit behind his brother in weight at only the 75th (22 pounds). Besides Kyler having a mild ear infection, both passed everything with flying colors. "They look great" the doctor said. I could have told him that! :)
