Wedding Crashers
What a great time we had at my cousin Whitney's wedding last weekend! The boys were so great! Braxton and Cousin Kaleb were ring bearers and looked SOOOO stunning in their little tuxes. Braxton was pretty apprehensive about the whole thing the night of rehearsal. But come day of, knowing that he had to "show Kaleb what to do", he figured he had it in the bag. He was ready to go! But, at the last minute, got a little stage fright. So, Dad, the savior man, pulled out the McQueen shades and saved the day. See, Braxton was in his Uncle Dave and Aunt Sarah's wedding last year. And he was feeling pretty nervous. So, Dad told him that if he wore his sunglasses, no one would be able to see him. So, he would have nothing to worry about. Apparently, he needed a little hide-power again this year :). I think the plan almost failed when everyone started ooh-ing and aww-ing over the two handsome gentlemen. From what I hear, he had a bit of a lip-quiver right at the end of the isle. But, he pulled through and stood his ground through the entire ceremony!
And as I was busy taking pictures for the ceremony, there I was at the end of the isle trying to capture the moment for the bride and groom, when all of a sudden, I see a little red-head crawling out of a pew. He turns his head to me, and quite loudly announces "Mommy!" Aw, man. Where was grandma on that one? She was supposed to be watching that little rambunctious bundle while we were off tending to our wedding duties! Oh, well. No harm done :).
These are just a few snap shots taken during the reception. Poor Braxton fell asleep on the way there. We drug him in and he sat in his chair for a few minutes doing only what I can assume to be sleeping with his eyes open. So, finally I asked him to lay his head down on the table. He was like this for over a 1/2 hour, when I forced him awake again. Poor kid! He did catch his second wind and the boys and I danced up a storm! A very fun weekend had by all :).
