Happy Easter!
Just a few snapshots of our Easter holiday. As is our family's holiday tradition, we streeeeeched this holiday out as long as we possibly could, making sure that the Easter Bunny made not 1, not 2, but 3! stops over an eight day period. I bet his little feet are tired! On the plus side, though, we got to spend our time with lots of our favorite people. The weekend before Easter, Kerri, Kaleb, and Bree came home and we spent the weekend tearing up Grandma's house. We had a mini-Easter dinner, went to a movie, had a chilly egg hunt (see Etta's hunting hat :), went to church, had brunch, and overall had a great time. Then over this last weekend, we spent time with our favorite Perkins/Hunt crew. We started the weekend with the traditional Friday night egg dying adventure. And we followed it up with another Sunday morning service, donuts, egg hunt, dinner at Granny's, more egg hunting, and some rousting games of backyard baseball.
It is weekends like this that make me so very thankful to be so near so many of our family members. I am so glad that my kids will be able to look back some day and say "Wow, my childhood was the best! I am so lucky!". And having all of these extended family members to spend it with almost every week, not just on the holidays, is a big part of making that happen :).
