We were so fortunate this year! For Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa Perkins bought the whole crew a weekend trip to Alexandria, MN, for a ski trip. We had a GREAT time!! Etta didn't want to ski with us, so she got to stay back with the "little kids" for some sledding and fun snow stuff. The boys (and Dave and Jack) joined us for a day on the slopes. After spending quite a bit of time on the bunny hill, the boys hit the "big ones". There were a few tears and frustrations over 1. Falling, and 2. Having a heck of a time getting up. But, after getting the hang of it, both had a good handful of very successful runs. We never did master the ski lift dismount, and fell off at the end every single time, but eventually we felt like we were relatively able to get down those hills with quite a bit of success.
Along with all of the ski-fun, the resort that we stayed at had a great indoor water park that we enjoyed both nights. We rented a house at the resort, which was so fun for all of us to be together, and let the kids run around together. We are simply blessed :).
