1st Day of School

Here they are, off to another year! Hard to believe how fast time goes by. 

Braxton started 6th grade this year, which means that he moved to the big MIDDLE SCHOOL. He was feeling pretty anxious about the transition, and sad to leave Louis LAmour behind. But he has absolutely loved his experience at JMS. He likes the independence of moving room to room. He's made some friends that he didn't know before. He joined the Chess Club (and took 3rd at the Chess Tournament!) 

Kyler started 4th Grade - almost to the top of the totem pole at Louis! As always, he loves the social aspect of school, spending time with friends, playing sports, etc. And he's taken the responsibility of watching out for his little sister pretty seriously. 

And Etta has moved up to a "real" number - 1st Grade! At parent/teacher conferences, her teacher told us that she is such a kind, fun-loving, ball of energy. So much so that she gets in a bit of trouble for "visiting with her friends" a bit too much. Jon and I were not surprised by that one bit ;). 

Here's to another great year with these great kiddos!
